How do I update to a new license key on a Metadefender Core server?

This article applies to all MetaDefender Core V4 and V5 releases deployed on Windows or Linux systems.

To update to a new license key, you will first need to deactivate your existing deployment (if it hasn’t expired or been deactivated already), before activating again under a new license.

Online Activation

  1. To do this, go to your MetaDefender Core Management Console>Settings>License tab, then click Deactivate License, as highlighted in the screenshot below.
  1. Next, click Activate License.
  1. A pop-up will appear for you to enter your new Activation Key in the field provided, before selecting the appropriate Online Activation/Offline Activation option.
  2. Then click Activate License, as highlighted in the screenshot below.

Offline Activation

Your new deployment should now be active.
