This article applies to all MetaDefender Core releases deployed on Windows and Linux systems.
Answer:
Yes, you can import settings while a file is being scanned. The file will be processed using the configuration that was active at the time of submission for scanning. Therefore, even if a new configuration is imported during the process, the scan will still utilize the previous settings rather than the newly imported configuration.
Additional Information
- The scanning process is not interrupted by importing new settings.
- The imported configuration will be applied to subsequent scans, but ongoing scans will continue with the previous configuration.
- To ensure the new settings are used, wait until the current scan completes before submitting a new file.
