To ensure your network equipment (Routers, Access Points, Controllers, Switches, etc.) is not impacted while using SafeConnect, you can use one of the following three options:
Recommended setup:
- Under Configuration Manager, you can bulk import the MAC addresses of the equipment into “Authorized Devices” with a role configured for compliant status and a description of network equipment.
If the recommended setup is not viable and the equipment has an entirely reserved subnet:
- Under Policy Manager, you would want to create a qualifier for that Subnet and add that qualifier into Free Access.
If the recommended setup is not viable and the equipment does not have a reserved subnet:
- Under Policy Manager, you can bulk import MAC addresses from a spreadsheet, or if MAC addresses are not possible, static IP addresses, into Free Access.
