Overview

This section explains how to manage policies in your account.

My OPSWAT Central Management groups policies of products by solution as below

  1. Peripherial Media: policies for MetaDefender Kiosk
  2. Endpoint Security: policies for endpoints
  3. Hardware Supply Chain: policies for MetaDefender Drive
  4. File Security: policies for MetaDefender Core

Manage policies

  1. Log into the My OPSWAT Central Management console.
  2. Navigate to the Policies, select a solution you would like to view policies.
  3. You can perform some actions on a specific policy, such as:
  • Clone - lets you quickly create a duplicate of a policy within an account.
  • Delete - allows you delete a policy.
  • Export Policy allows you export details of a policy for auditing later.
  • Create A new policy: create a new policy with a default policy
  • Import a policy: from a file or an instance

Create a new policy

My OPSWAT Central Management will create a default policy based on the latest version of a product.

  1. Log into the My OPSWAT Central Management console.
  2. Navigate to the Policies, select a solution you would like to create a new policy
  3. Click the CREATE NEW POLICY button.
  4. Fill in the Policy Name and Description (optional).
  5. Click SAVE.
  6. Enter your PIN to confirm the action if required

Update a policy

  1. Log into My OPSWAT Central Management console
  2. Navigate to the Policies, select a solution you would like to view a new policy
  3. Select a policy you wish to update.
  4. Navigate to sections you would like to update.
  5. Click on SAVE button and confirm your PIN to save changes.

Import a policy

  1. Log into the My OPSWAT Central Management console.
  2. Navigate to the Policies, select a solution you would like to create a new policy
  3. Click Import Policy from an instance/device
  4. Select an instance/device to import that instance/device to a policy
  5. Click Next to start importing

Apply a policy to a group

  1. Log into the My OPSWAT Central Management console.
  2. Navigate to Inventory > Groups.
  3. Click on a group you wish to apply the policy to, and navigate to the Settings tab.
  4. Under Assigned Policy , select a desired policy you want to assign to the group.
  5. Confirm your change with your PIN.

*Note that My OPSWAT Central Management will re-assess device status for devices in the group with the new policy, except changes for Threat Detection.
