OPSWAT Central Management V7 (OCMv7), the newest version of the series, streamlines the product central configuration and added OPSWAT Client management to further enhance the security stance of organizations to protect against risky devices.

Enhancements


Enhanced MetaDefender Kiosk Linux activation

Customers can now activate MetaDefender Kiosk Linux with online mode.

Improved user interface for license management page

This update simplifies the process of activating licenses, making it more straightforward for users.

Auto-updated management status for MetaDefender Storage Security instances.

When adding or removing a MetaDefender Storage Security from OPSWAT Central Management, the instance's management status will now be automatically updated.

Addressed minor potential security issues

Upgraded 3rd party libraries and updated server configuration to remediate related vulnerabilities.

Bugs Fixed


The license was automatically deactivated due to a deployment ID change even though the machine running OPSWAT Central Management had not been modified.

Deployment ID is now kept the same when network adapter configurations are changed.

The demo video in the management console could not be played on recent versions of Google Chrome.

Fixed a video format compatibility issue for Google Chrome.

Failed to retrieve processing history from Core instances if the previous job was hang.

The job will start if the last call to retrieved processing history was timeout.

Moving Active Directory users between groups with different permission levels did not update the moved user's permission correctly until a server restart.

User's permission is now updated when a user logs into Central Management console.

The product instance list did not display properly when navigating to pages toward the end if there are more than 800 instances of a product type.

The instance list page is now listed properly when a user navigates among pages.

Updated MetaDefender Kiosk to MetaDefender Kiosk Windows

This update enhances the clarity regarding which product is featured on related pages.

Updated branding for MetaDefender for Secure Storage

MetaDefender for Secure Storage has been rebranded to MetaDefender Storage Security. All references to MetaDefender for Secure Storage in OPSWAT Central Management have been updated to reflect this change.
