Report False Detection

You can report false positive or false negative by submitting a report here and have the file analyzed by OPSWAT's expert analyst team. Follow these steps to submit the report of the file that you think has been misidentified:
- Provide either a file or a hash. Note that the maximum size for file uploads is restricted to 1GB.
- In the Submission Type section, specify if you suspect the file is a false positive (i.e., a clean file incorrectly flagged) or a false negative (i.e., a malicious file not detected).
- In the "In which product did the false detection occur", choose the product in which false detection occur.
- In the "Which antivirus engine triggered the false detection", provide antivirus engine name (i.e., ClamAV, AhnLab, Avira, etc.) see full AV engine name at https://docs.opswat.com/mdcore/metascan-engines)
- In the "AV detection/Threat name" provide AV detection or Threat name (i.e., something like Trojan/Win32.Downloader)
- In the "Image of Detection/Report Alert" provide detection/report alert screenshot for better analysis.
- In the "What is the origin of the file" choose the source of the file
- In the "What is the purpose of the submitted file" provide purpose of the submission (i.e., Design program, image viewer, informational document, document editor installer, etc.)
- In the "Why do you think this is a false detection" any additional information that would you think this is a false detection
- In the "I agree to share the files with AV vendors for further analysis" to allow AV vendor for further analysis
