Upgrade procedure
- Upgrade MDDC API Gateway and MetaDefender Core through MDDC Control Center and wait until the upgrade finishes on all instances.
- Upgrade MDDC Identity Service using Installer file and wait for it to finish.
- Upgrade MDDC Control Center using Installer file and wait for it to finish.
During the upgrade of the MDDC Identity Service and Control Center, access to the Web console may be temporarily disrupted or unresponsive.
- Sign in to MDDC Control Center web console and verify that all services and workers are operational.
- Upgrade MDDC Worker instances using Installer file and wait for them to finish.
In MDDC v2.4.0, upgrading the MDDC Worker hosting a MetaDefender Core instance causes MetaDefender Core become unlicensed.
Workaround:
- To online activation: follow steps to activate a MetaDefender Core instance after deployment.
- To offline activation: follow steps to activate a MetaDefender Core instance with license file.
- Upgrade MDDC File Storage instances using Installer file and wait for them to finish.
The upgrade of MDDC File Storage requires the system to be down, it's recommended that the system administrator carries out the upgrade during periods of low usage.
