What are the system requirements for MetaDefender Endpoint?

This article applies to all MetaDefender Endpoint releases deployed on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android systems.

To meet the needs of customers managing a range of unique devices, MetaDefender Endpoint supports the majority of leading operating systems, including:

The MetaDefender Endpoint is a lightweight, unobtrusive application, designed to run on every device that is being managed by your account on either MetaDefender IT Access or My OPSWAT.

As such, system requirements per device are minimal.

To install MetaDefender Endpoint on a device, that device must meet the following minimum system requirements:

For security reasons, all devices must support TLS 1.2 (Transport Layer Security 1.2) or above.

MacOS and Linux users should research TLS enablement options via their either Apple or Linux documentation though, in the case of Linux, enablement is a fairly standard command line process. In addition, users can consult the guidelines Here (for macOS), and Here (for Linux).

(2) Additional Graphics Card Driver requirements for enabling MetaDefender Endpoint UI

To ensure compatibility with MetaDefender Endpoint’s UI, devices must have a graphics card driver that supports OpenGL 2.0 or higher.
